Question about Dell Inspiron E1505 Notebook

1 Answer

My Dell Inspiron E1505 notebook is telling me that there is no battery present, but there is and it won't charge at all. I have to keep it plugged in at all times - which kind of defeats the purpose of a laptop. What can I do about this? The plug seems loose and comes out really easily and when it does the computer totally shuts down immediately.

Dell Inspiron E1505 won't recognize new battery

It won't charge or work correctly if it's not the correct one and of the right voltage etc.I don't know how the battery even went in if it's not the Dell specified battery. If it went in and looked to fit maybe the battery itself is bad but its hard to say.

Dell E1505 battery shows plug i, not charging. Just replaced with new battery but still giving the same nessage.

whenevr u c this problem,,the problem cannot be only with the battery but also the adapter or with the port on the computer where the adapter pluggs in.if u hav any friends or relatives using the same computer along with the adaptor,,check with that adaptor on ur computer,,if ur friends adaptor works fine,,then the problem with the adaptor,,or else the adaptor port,,best thing call up technical support and replace it if the computer is within the warranty.coz these parts are pretty costly..

best of luck and giv a good rating,,keep me posted
