Question about Pioneer DEH-P4000UB CD Player
I own a Chevrolet Cobalt 07 with a newly installed deck, I can't seem to turn it off without pulling the faceplate off. I've tried holding the Source button but the console still wouldn't turn off.
I thought the same thing but what is happening is when it turns off it is in demo mode and it looks like it's not off. When you hold in src it changes to something that says "USB/IPOD.. " scrolling. Press display and it turns demo mode off. Then it will turn on and off properly.

You have to have a special wiring harness the only power source coming from the OEM wiring harness is a constant 12 volt therefore keeping your deck on at all times you have to buy an after market wiring harness here are the models for a few there a little pricey but if you want it to work properly and all your door chimes and such. Your factory radio has a lan running threw it witch controlls your door chimes and other safety features first you have to find out if you have an amplified system or a pioneer system or a bose system then i will be able to give you the wireing harness model number for your car
