I work for an authorized HP dealer and I just checked HP parts and they do not appear to have any parts for the ADF on this model. You could check Ebay for a used unit or one being sold as is that has a working ADF.
Please try to use scanner glass and see the resultSecondly try to scaan to PDF for multiple files.If the issue still persists clean the rollers on the ADF and if not working, replace the ADF
when you try to scan through the adf part a message is displayed on the screen. Something like "Document loaded". Otherwise it's scanning the glass part. Maybe the sensor in adf part is bad, not responding
if you plug the ADF connector while the machine is on the code will appear when you connect the ADF shut down the machine and then connect the ADF plug
Open ADF and close again. There must be tab in the ADF which is not pressing a microswitch located in the lower part of the ADF. IF you can locate it, try pressing it manually.
I have worked on the same problem, you will need to order a new adf assy because there is no diagram on that or look at another of the same printer to see how it goes back together. Google the the type of printer and adf and you should be able to find the part, they are easy to install.
