Samsung L100 Digital Camera, Muting my zoom??

Sound and Video are opposites, therefore it is impossible to record a video using sound. (I may have got the question wrong, but here's the other answer)

Your Microphone could be broken or muted. flick through all of the options in settings to find any options to mute the mic when recording videos. If there is no option for that, either try turning up the volume to full or consider either getting the microphone replaced or consider getting a new camera.

From page 30 of the manual: "If the ZOOM buttons are being pressed during the Movie shots, the voice will not be recorded."

Many cameras do this so as not to record the sound of the lens being zoomed.

you've misaligned the lens barrel I think. there's not much you can do to solve this short of a repair, which generally outweighs the price of the camera, due to the insane price of the individual parts. You can try realigning the lens barrel by doing what you did the first time.

have you check if you are using the usb cable or the av cable. the camera will not show anything on the screen if you are using the av cable and connect the camera to your computer.
