Card refresh error(dish tv)

Dear friend
last month i bought new dish tv but last some days it does not show a programm.it show only card refresh error.i could n`t understand that. so please help me

It's a card reg. fail or rasrd is currapt or it's not pun proper.. u need to chek this things

Cannot record new programmes or view programmes already recorded


Hi there, my name is Kimberly and I form part of the Social Media department with DISH. What receiver model do you have? Is it the Hopper? If so, the issue is not because the receiver is defective. currently we are experiencing a known issue with our Hopper receivers recording shows that customers did not create a Timer for. We are working on getting this issue resolved and at this point we will need to submit a feedback form to our Technical Engineering department letting them know you are also experiencing the issue. Hey there, Cheri Torres with DISH Network Customer Servicehere. I came across your post and wanted to see if I could help. Usually withthe black screen with banner issue the best trouble shooting step to perform isa hard reset by unplugging the receiver for ten seconds from the wall outlet.If you have already tried a HR the next step would be to check your softwareversion and smart card revision number. You can do this by pressing menu6(system setup) - 1(installation) - 3(system info) once you are in the systeminfo screen you will see Software, your software number should be L4.85. Inorder to get the Smart Card revision number you will need to press the number 3on your keypad now that you are already in the system info screen. Once you arein the system info three screen you will see DNASP at the top of the screen,the number that should be listed is 241 DshH03 or DshH05. If either option isnot up to date you will need to update them by running another check switchtest then powering the receiver off for 30 minutes to allow the receiver todownload the software. For a 004 error message the best trouble shooting stepsto try are the hard reset and also a check switch test. The 004 error messageusually indicates a switch issue but there can also be something else causingthe issue and you may need to have a tech go out to your home. In the case thatyou do need a tech the cost with out the Service Plan should be $95 if you wereto add the Service Plan for $6 a month you would not pay anything for the Techvisit. Hi hariom857my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network and I was reading over your post andseen you had a "card refresh error" on your screen. What you will wan to do ispull out the smartcard for 10 seconds and put it back in. After you put yourcard in the system will require the signal and download the program guide andyour programming should be playing. Hi, Mary with Dish Network Customer Service. Since the DVR is the only thing having the freezing issue, it sounds like it maybe a hard drive issue. I would recommend resetting the receiver. Unplug it from the power supply for 10 seconds and then let the receiver reboot itself. If you are still having this issue, I would recommend calling Dish Network and we will need to replace the receiver. Hard Drive issues do not resolve themselves and only get worse over time. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Dish 510 DVR that wont record properly or play paused TV show


Make sure that the software is correct. Should be P4.07
you can go into the DVR and replace the hard drive but I would suggest getting Dish Home Plan, Replace the receiver and then cancel the Home Plan. Talk to Dish Network and they will work with you.

Setting up Konig SDFTA11


My friend has bought a SDFTA11 receiver the same as mine. I can receive spanish channels via Astra 19.2 but we cannot receive these channels on his, even when we use my dish.
It shows 0% sig on 11.509V when my system shows 90% and works well. Can anyone help.

Dish DVR problems


if the show that you are recording is also skipping on live tv, then it could be 2 things. it could either be a broadcasting issue (which the broadcasting center at dish network would have to correct on their end) or 2. it could be that your dish needs realigned. also if you purchased the dish dvr through dish network their models are quite often refurbished where they fix old models and send them back out. (most satellite companies do this) contact dish network and let them know you are having a problem, they may replace your dvr and if you have a protection plan they will often replace it for free.

Problem with recorded playback


It is possible that during a set time of day this problem can occur due to aged hardware such as a barrel or the LNB becoming overheated during that time of the day. If you are home during that timeframe and the weather is consistent and the problem does not exist then I would order a replacement receiver.Dish has some new receivers that allow one to use an external hard drive to increase record capacity as well however they are HD receivers. Currently Dish has a shortage due to production in the 625 model and you may be able to get a 722 rx with 300hrs of record time and external hard drive capability at no additional cost to you do to inventory shortages. If you do opt to get a new rx and get an HD model Dish shoud waive the HD fee for not having HD programming due to this. The key to getting this free upgrade if you will is not to ask for the 722. Let Dish's inventory dictate that unless you just want to upgrade your system in which case ther may or may not be additional charges. Hope this helps you out.

that's not true i work for dish network if u have an LNB drift of -8 or +8 you can get a free lnb service call and they can come out n fix at no charge
