I bought a universal adapter from radioshack to plug into my regular home outlet for my A/C. Could that be why it will not work? I get power and can change all my options, but nothing works besides that. The fan or motor is not even turning.

This is a 220 unit and it must be plugged into a proper 220 volt plugin.

Seems to me that this is a european rated plug. You need to be able to convert to the American system. Most circuits in the uk have a 13 amp rating on their plugs.

Probably 15 amp but could be 20. Most important is the fact that it is a 220 plug single phase and will not work on a regular house circuit. Must be 220-240 single phase.

Would like to know what electrical amps this travel trailer uses at camp sites

Sure would be helpful if you'd say more about the trailer... like what MAKE of trailer it is, what YEAR and SIZE of trailer it is... but never mind that. SIMPLY LOOK AT THE PLUG. IF IT IS A BIG APPLIANCE SIZE PLUG WITH FOUR PRONGS, IT IS LIKELY A 50 AMP PLUG, AND IF IT IS A BIG APPLIANCE SIZE PLUG WITH THREE PRONGS, IT IS LIKELY A 30 AMP PLUG. If it is a regular size three prong plug (like you'd plug into the wall), it is a 15 Amp plug.

Sir/Mam,

The Black Image unit remove it and reseat it inside the machine properly WAS the Black Image Unit New was it store Vertical instead of Horizontial. If so all of the developer is sitting at one end of the image unit instead of being spread out along the length of the image unit that Black Drum motor can't take all of the developer sitting at one end., Ensure all of your image units are stored flat not up and down. Ensure you also shake the image units before installing to spread the developer (Side to side). Then close the door and should go ready to copy if not and it comes back then bad motor or board

Dell lattitude cpx charging pin and - TERMINALS

What? Is it time to wake up?

Oh yeah, Dell Latitude CPX,

http://www.amazon.com/Dell-Latitude-Notebook-650-MHz-Pentium/dp/B00005UJYF

AC adapter example for above,

http://www.prontocharger.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=d1161

DC Power Jack example,

http://www.all-power-jack.com/Dell/Dell-Latitude-CPx.html

I see the dilemma. The plug from the AC adapter has 3 socket holes, and the DC Power Jack has 3 prongs.

DC electricity has a Positive connection, and a Negative connection.

To find out which socket holes are for Positive, and Negative, let's look again at the DC Power Jack,

http://www.all-power-jack.com/Dell/Dell-Latitude-CPx.html

The Top view shows the jack upside down, and turned around. (In relation to how it mounts on the motherboard )

The bottom left view shows the jack primarily how it sits, (Mounted), on the motherboard.

The bottom right view shows the jack turned over, laying on it's front.
Also laying over to it's right side.

Note the three prongs. (Flat bladed pins )
The one in the middle is Positive.
The two outer prongs are Negative.

Looking at the bottom Left view, the Top prong is Positive, and the two bottom prongs are Negative.

Match it up to the plug on the AC adapter cable.

Going to test the Voltage coming out? (20 Volts)
The red Positive probe lead goes into the top socket hole, in the plug.
The black Negative lead goes in either bottom socket hole.

What if I'm wrong?

A Digital multimeter will just show a negative value. -20
An Analog multimeter's needle will go down towards the 0, instead of towards 20 Volts. (DC)

Just switch the probe leads around.

For additional questions, or if I am way off base, post back in a Comment.

The label is printing vertically instead of horizontially? How do I fix that?

this can be corrected in either the printer GUI ( graphical user interface) or the "page setup" settings in the "format options" it should be landscape or you will see the label writer options. Also check the "print preview" option.

Gets dark wave in three waves,

The first thing I would suspect is a noisy AC supply. Try using a ground adaptor. Sounds technical, but if you every went to Grandpa's he may have been using a few and you just didn't know what they were. They are commonly used to adapt a 3 prong electrical plug to a 2 prong AC outlet. If your TV does have a 3 prong AC cord, give this a try before you do anything. It's a cheap solution and often works like a charm.

I have a PT-AE900E & have developed lines running vertically down the screen evenly spaced apart. What is causing this??

Hello,

If these lines are coming with the input signal then you have to check the Cable connectors.

If these lines are coming without the signal then check the panels and service then recheck.

To turn on an HP, make sure you have the AC adapter plugged in properly, and press the power key. But since you imply it has been a while since this was on, I suggest removing the battery BEFORE you start the first time.

The power key is identified by an ICON best described this way: a circle with a vertical line in the center. The vertical line is sometimes centered in the circle without touching any edges, and sometimes it is crossing the top of the circle slightly.

Once you have started the laptop and get to an OS desktop, you should check everything out to make sure everything works.

Then SHUT down, remove the power supply, insert the battery, reattach the power supply and start again.

Monitor the battery charge progress carefully. If the battery fails to charge, it will need to be replaced. This is because no matter how new a battery is, if it is left for extended periods in an uncharged state (or worse, fully depleted state) the battery will usually be defective. It cannot ever be recharged because at least one cvell will be dead.

As for the power cord, using a three-prong plug will be useless if you do not have a 3-prong jack and 3-wire cable. but if you do, you can cut off the useless 2-prong euro plug, strip the 3 wires and install a 3-lug grounded plug. Pay attention to the polarity then, because it is critical on 3 wire connections. In USA, black, white and green are the color codes. Green is the ground. In Europe, the colors are different and varies widely. Blue or brown will be the ground. You will need a VTVM to trace the continuity to the other end, to identify which is load, neutral and ground (earth). Be careful. Ifr you connect AC load to ground, you may damage your PSU -or the HOUSE !!!! :)
