Picture too big

The picture on my Polaroid TLX04011C is too big.
Is there any way to reduce the sixe/ It was working fine.....(when watching a sporting event I got the whole picture on the screen....score at the bottom and all.) I moved the set to another room and after hooking up DVD and VCR the picture size is different. I must have done something to effect that but I have no idea what.....Help!!!

There will be a button on the remote that says aspect, or pic size, hit that button, untill you get the size you want, if you cant find the button, go into the menue, click the picture, or video section, and look for aspect racio, or pic size in there

Try going into picture setting and reduce the zoom angle or if it's whilst you are watching Sky TV go into System Settings, Picture Settings and change the Aspect Ratio (ie. From 4:3 to 16:9 or visa versa)

Polaroid flm-373b lcd tv - making a loud buzzing noise. Picture is fine.

Possible that the main power supply unit which is the SMPS- switch mode power supply- has a faulty capacitor or in the INVERTOR board which has changed the value and so the frequency being changed can cause higher huming level- reduced to lower frequency.
so check the board for leaks , if so replace. Also check if the threshold voltages are below level in these circuits. if so the capacitor can be identified. If there is change after the component heats then simulate the circuit board and confirm using a hair dryer.

My polaroid TLA-04011c wont come on at all - it has a blue LED lit, indicating the set is on, but theres no picture whatsoever

First turn on and check with flashlight 2 in. from screen and see if there is a picture. If no picture then open back panel door by taking big black screw out of middle and 2 screw at bottom of panel and slide panel downward, pull off and unscrew metal plate and you should see bad caps in this set, this is what have to be replaced.

There is a button on your remote control that controls the TV's zoom level. It is usually labeled WIDE MODE or ZOOM.

if nobody will repair the tv, then your probably better off buy a new one. yours could have the bulbs blow, there could be something wrong with the board or the power supply. i don't recommend working on a tv because they are very easy to mess up and do even more damage. for your next tv, get a higher rated brand like samsung or sony. they tend to be more reliable and are easier to fix/find somebody to fix

Trutech tv model #PLV16260

Heres what mine did:no picture no sound, when i hit the remote the indicator light went out....piece of crap is six months old, cant find any info on it, cant get a hold of anyone at Trutech.
So i took it apart, on the board that the power cord is attached to, i found six blown capacitors. There is also a big ass one in the middle of that board which looked ok but blew out the bottom.I replaced them, and im watching it as i type.
Its fairly easy but if your not comfortable soldering on a cheap circuit board, take it to someone.
I hope it helps, i think this repair will fix the other Trutech models with the same problems.
