Sounds like some build up of soap and mildew over time between the inner and outer tub. Usually the case when we get this complaint.

Run some dishwasher magic through the washer. Works better than AFFRESH.

Good Luck!!

Keeps stopping with f-05 flashibg help?!

F05 indicates no drain or pressure switch jammed on full.
If it's full of water you need to drain this down first.
Take the cover off below the front panel, you may find a filter there.
Put a container down and some towels.
Slacken the filter a little and drain the water. Tighten the filter to stop the water.
Continue doing this till the water stops, then take the filter out, clean out the debris, ensure the pump is free to turn.
If your machine doesn't have a filter, pull the machine out and drop the hose into a bucket or wash basin. Raise the hose to stop the flow of water while you empty the bucket or basin.
Once empty, unplug the appliance, tilt it back 45 degrees (assistance would be good), take the screws holding the pump in place and drop it out through the bottom. Take the hoses off, clear the debris and reassemble.
If there is no water in the machine, unplug the appliance, take the lid off, locate the pressure switch, give it a few good taps with the screwdriver handle, take the thin tube off and blow down it hard to clear any debris. Reassemble.
Try the machine again. If the F05 persists then you're potentially looking at new electronic control board for the appliance.

How easy is it to take apart washing machine to clean out tub unit (the plastic one) I get awful smells in my laundry even after I've washed the clothes. I have let the machine sit with just

I assume you are talking about a top load machine. Usually the top of the washer will open up this is perhaps the trickiest part. Every manufacturer does it differently. When you get the top up or case off, there is a plastic ring that you can remove and clean out the outer tub. A refrigerator brush works well.

Washing machine stops in the middle of washing and then restarts. Machine fills and washes at the same time.

Could be that your discharge hose is causing the machine to syphon off water because there is no Air Break in the system
Test is to hook the hose into a basin and see if it does a full normal wash

Also could be problem with the pressure switch falsing due to a soap build up in the Air Bell on the side of the drum

Roper washing machine

It's direct drive. It may have a bad coupler. Did you see any black particles under washer? Also look for oil on floor and bottom of washer. Transmission can leak oil into clutch causing slow spin.

Black particles in clothes after using a top loading samsung fully automatic washing machine

You said these particles stick to the clothes, do they come off and then leave a stain? It may be grease or oil coming from a leaking drum bearing seal.
If it is, This is a major repair and not one for DIY.
