Question about Refrigerators
The noise that you are hearing is more than likely the freon in the sealed system. That noise is nothing to be alarmed about as far as the machine working properly. I get this complaint all the time and it turns out that there really isn't anything that can be done with the noise.
Try downloading the Top Freezer Frigidaire Service Manual. There is more about the noise and other noises that the fridges will make. It explains everything in great detail and things you can do to cut down on the noises themselves. You just have to narrow it down to exactly what is causing the noise.

I appreciate your post, friend!
Based off what you have described your Frigidaire refrigerator's icemaker is making knocking noise. This could be due to your water valve or motor. Since it is difficult to pinpoint the cause of the knocking noise I would suggest having a professional technician out to perform an accurate diagnosis. This will help you avoid any unnecessary part purchases. Good luck. -Matt

Thanks for your post, friend!
I see that your Frigidaire side by side refrigerator is making a loud noise every few hours. There are a lot of normal operating noises within a refrigerator. It is possible that your evaporator may create a boiling or gurgling noise. Or you could be hearing ice being released into your ice bin. If you have your manual they should list some normal operating noises within your refrigerator. I hope this information has been helpful. -Matt
