Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Digitech RP250 needs re-flashing

I called up Digitech Tech Support and they told me my RP250 needs to be re-flashed. Basically whats happening is the driver installer cant install the audio drivers because the pedal is not detected. I used WinRar to extract the drivers and put them in system32 on my computer, then restarted the computer but still the pedal wasnt recognized. So basically what I think is wrong is that the factory settings have somehow become erased. This may be due to moisture :( . Im pretty good with electronics and computers, I am certified for Computer Networking & Repair. So if this pedal needs to be re-flashed I would like to have a detailed guide as what to do (besides send it to a local repair shop! Which happens to be pretty far from me.). ;)

SOURCE: W98SE Driver for Kingston 1.0Gb DataTraveller Flash Drive

The people at your local computer shop are wrong but, Windows 98 should at least recognize the USB thumb-drive and ask for drivers.
I would remove all the USB Controllers from within Device Manager and restart; allow Windows upon restart to reload the USB Controllers; then plug in the drive and see if Windows at least recognizes and then install drivers.
It seems only the DTI/XX, KUSBDTE/XX, and DTII/XX support Windows 98.

SOURCE: Computer Does Not Recognize Device

Dude, I threw my HP DVD writer out the 2nd story window after HP customer service in India tried to charge me for help, bought a different LG DVD writer, had the same problem. I have been on the computer for about 24 hours in the last week trying to fix this problem...

I researched every computer assistance blog on the net
I edited my registry about a billion times
I took out my usb from the device manager
I downloaded new drivers
I rebooted at least 15 times
I went into disk management
I went into services
I contemplated throwing the computer out the window and all the time I have wasted in my life troubleshooting computer problems.
I contemplated a world without computers.....
I even called tech support for LG (not located in India thank god).

And then I came across this page and the unplugging and plugging worked. Doh!

The "installer" should suspect that you are driving the Bose amplifier too hard and it is going into thermal shutdown periodically.

My digitech rp 250 guitar processor seems to be frozen. everything is all lit up and its all zeros in the display screen.

Here is a link you will need to the latest firmware update:http://www.digitech.com/software_support/RP250Windows.php Make sure you follow all directions carefully. Look in your owners manual at how to reset the pedal. If all this fails contact support at their website. Also you didn't mention if you were using a Mac or a P.C. so I gave you the P.C. link. The Mac link can also be found there. Hope this helps.

Sound cuts out

Hi Darren.
I suspect you may be right about the eq here, though you probably have had it sorted by now.
I came across this thread because I was searching for a fix to my R-231 and was hoping you might be able to help me if you found a fix. I'm persisting with this one as I can't really get another just now and it seems that it's not a major issue. I managed to get a good signal out of it when I ran it without the ground connected on output???
Anyway, any info I would greatly appreciate,
Thanks, Rob dronno@live.com.

If i am foing to do home recording do i need ............

Not necessarily. You have a built in mixer in your computer, and depending on the source of the input you may not need amplification to record. Playback is another issue, entirely.
There are excellent utilities and hardware for computer recording available, some such as sound cards for purchase and some freeware or shareware (like Audacity). Just google "computer recording" and you'll find links to a lot of helpful information to get you started. If you have xp or vista, you have a built-in sound recorder. But it will depend on your system and the quality you expect to turn out as an end product.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

I need an IR led of 4.3um for my project capnograph thats basically a medical application, so please if you can tell us the manufacturers of that product.

The best way to fine your answer for your capnograph is to call your local hospital and tall to a hospital engineer. They always work on medical equipment and can give you who the manufacture's name and phone numbers. And you may never know, maybe they just might have extra parts or the same equiptment just lieing around taking up space. Papabear

Do u need an amplifier and a mixer if using a computer for party music

you will need an amp for extracting more power outta your speakers...Also you will have better control on bass, treble and other settings...So if you want to feel the sound you might need an amp....and a mixer of course if you wanna mix it up!

Eagle!
