Question about Audio Players & Recorders
I called up Digitech Tech Support and they told me my RP250 needs to be re-flashed. Basically whats happening is the driver installer cant install the audio drivers because the pedal is not detected. I used WinRar to extract the drivers and put them in system32 on my computer, then restarted the computer but still the pedal wasnt recognized. So basically what I think is wrong is that the factory settings have somehow become erased. This may be due to moisture :( . Im pretty good with electronics and computers, I am certified for Computer Networking & Repair. So if this pedal needs to be re-flashed I would like to have a detailed guide as what to do (besides send it to a local repair shop! Which happens to be pretty far from me.). ;)
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

The people at your local computer shop are wrong but, Windows 98 should at least recognize the USB thumb-drive and ask for drivers.
I would remove all the USB Controllers from within Device Manager and restart; allow Windows upon restart to reload the USB Controllers; then plug in the drive and see if Windows at least recognizes and then install drivers.
It seems only the DTI/XX, KUSBDTE/XX, and DTII/XX support Windows 98.

Dude, I threw my HP DVD writer out the 2nd story window after HP customer service in India tried to charge me for help, bought a different LG DVD writer, had the same problem. I have been on the computer for about 24 hours in the last week trying to fix this problem...
I researched every computer assistance blog on the net
I edited my registry about a billion times
I took out my usb from the device manager
I downloaded new drivers
I rebooted at least 15 times
I went into disk management
I went into services
I contemplated throwing the computer out the window and all the time I have wasted in my life troubleshooting computer problems.
I contemplated a world without computers.....
I even called tech support for LG (not located in India thank god).
And then I came across this page and the unplugging and plugging worked. Doh!
