Flash may have been dislodged and out of true. or may be the lens is out of alignment or a shutter blade is not functioning. Dropping them sure does them no good at all. Into the repair shop with it

Try this place for help with it: I'm sure they have a flash service for your model since they deal with the Powershots, they're the place if you need help with a Canon. They're not expensive at all and the work is superb on the Powershots. Plus they service up the rest of the camera at the same time which is nice. If you need help with it, they'd be the place. I don't have their email but it should be somewhere on their site. Good luck with it.

When taking pictures outside or from inside through a window, the picture comes out white with faint red outlines of some images. Inside the house and darker areas it takes pretty good pic's. What can be...

First the camera has a flash to allow for darker areas to be illuminated to capture pictures. The type of camera may bot allow to capture outdoor pictures with the camera flash on. Power off the flash when outdoors to capture daylight pictures.

I need to take a 300 ppi/dpi photo

Nice camera :) However it "only" takes pictures up to 180 ppi. You can't change it.

It might be easier to take your pictures as normal and then change their resolution to 300ppi in photo processing software like e.g. photoshop / photoshop elements (commercial) or gimp or irfanview (free).

NB, while it's not going to help here much, you might find this reading interesting:

Hope this helps,

Please help SME

Still under warranty? We sent our camera back for repairs after we had similar issues and the Canon support was fabulous. We could take movies but not stills (pictures).  Call for a Return Authorization number first. We had our camera back in a week or so.
