Just bought a 32" LCD . Hooked up to HDMI. TV has power, but states "no signal"

Tv guide on our LG tv
Have LG 32LX1D TV. The TV Guide no longer appears. All hookups are correct. When I select the TV Guide menu, it starts with a black screen, and then just shows the channel I had on in the top left corner without any TV Guide information showing.
Getting the information is not our problem. When we hit the guide button the tv screen goes black and we don't get the guide at all. After a couple of seconds the preview screen apprears in the upper left hand corner. If the guide is there, we can't see it.

It is NOT the main board. You need a V CHIP UPGRADE "epk file" Email me and I can walk you through it, very easy introspectionx2@yahoo.com Put "TV GUIDE" in the subject line
