Question about MediaGear SongBank MP3 Player
Unit is about 6 months old, when you plug in, it blows the 2A? fuse. Replaced fuse and it blows as soon as power is applied. Any help would be appreciated.
There is an 022 farad cap right under the f901 f 904 f907 f905 6amp rectifier on the main board if short will blow supply board fuse first before it blows the 4 amp fusses on the main board. replace as needed.

Take a big hammer and gentle remove the entire front. Then with same motion with hammer remove the sides and back. Continue this until all pieces have been remove. Then place unit in garbage can with broom and dust pan.
Buy a different make and model.

I followed meblueyz99's tip and it worked.
Fix the short where he says on the main board first with a soldering gun and a new "222" 50v - ceramic disc capacitor.
The guy at the elctronics tsore said that the one they used looked like a 25v capacitor, which may be why it blows? He said the 50v one would hold up better.
