Question about Acer Aspire 5315 Notebook
I had the same problem and I went to Tools > Audio and Video Setup, pressed next at the audio part, then chose 'USB video device' from the list and waited a couple of seconds until I appeared in the window.
This is confusing as it is not a USB webcam, but an internal one, but it uses a driver called usbcam.sys, so maybe this is why..
Then press finish and it should work for videocalls and sending webcam requests.
It must've been some default setting when the Messenger update happened, I don't really know, but that's how to fix it.
