Normal 0 Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

How to convert older Office documents to Office 2007 format

The Office 2007 applications such as Word and Excel can open a spreadsheet or a document which is in an older edition of Office. They can open such older version documents in Compatibility Mode. However, if you need to make use of various newer features available in Office 2007, you will have to convert older Office documents to Office 2007 format. The feature to covert older Office documents to Office 2007 format is very useful. For example, you can now utilize 1.1 million rows in the 2007 version of Excel. In the older versions you could only use sixty-five thousand rows. The method to convert older Office documents to Office 2007 format is the same for all applications. Here we are using the example of a Word document of previous version. If you open a Word or Excel document of an older version, you see [Compatibility Mode] as part of the title.
google_protectAndRun("render_ads.js::google_render_ad", google_handleError, google_render_ad);
compatibility-model-excel.jpg Follow these steps to convert older Office documents to Office 2007 format:
Open the Word document which you want to convert into Word 2007 format.
Click on the Microsoft Office button on the top left.
Click on Convert on the left hand side of the menu.
convert-excel.jpg Click on the OK button on the Microsoft Word Office dialog box which appears.
corverting-documents.jpg By clicking on the OK button, the document will be automatically converted into the Word 2007 format. You will notice that now the window does not show [Compatibility Mode] as part of the title bar any longer.

Document sometimes doesn't print

If the documents are large or have a lot of pictures and pages, printing can take a while. However, if the same thing occurs with a one page letter, try re-loading the printer driver(s) and/or check the printer settings, especially those that have to do with spooling. It's usually best to choose the setting that allows the document to spool so it prints faster.

Just in case you don't have the manul, here is a link to the book in PDF format:

I have a Lexmark all in one x4250 ink jet printer and a new computer with windows vista. I cannot get the printer to print a whole page from the computer. As well, the print is often 2 or 3 lines on top of...

Go to the Lexmark site. More than likely if the unit is more than a few years old you will not find Vista drivers. Most manuf. have their hands full creating Vista drivers for current products and are making no effort to provide for older equipment. Be prepared to throw it away. It is a problem for many varient Operating Systems: XP64-bit, Linux, etc.

Trying to install a lexmark x63 to my computer

Here's a link to Lexmark's site where you can download the printer drivers:

http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:93:0:0

If your computer is running Windows Vista this printer may not work. At least Lexmark doesn't offer drivers for Vista. This either means it's not compatible, or that Vista doesn't need any special driver software.

Everytime that I try to print a document, I am getting a lot of boxes. I am not getting the words printed that I need.

Hi Goody2Shoes6, what a great nickname!

If the boxes are a rectangle for every letter, try changing the font, especially if the printer is an old model and the font is recent, if it does it for every font, type up a letter (or type =rand(3) in word and it will put some blurb up for you) then press the Alt key at same time Print Scrn key. Then open paint and go to edit menu / paste. go File Print preferences and set the page to 1 by 1 pages, File / Print preview, if good Print.

The printer should print it, as it is taking it as a picture file, if that same font won't print straight from word (and gives you little squares) it means the printer doesn't have that font listed in it's memory

If it is the case, buy a new printer, or use an older font that works.

:-)

There are two ways to change the printer configuration:
1- Through your document, but then the changes will be applied only for that document.
2- Through the Control Panel (Start/Control Panel/Printers). Then the changes will stay for each print.

I have a Lexmark X63 printer, but it is not listed as one of the printers that is compatible with my Acer computer.

Does the computer have Windows Vista on it?

If so, that is correct. Lexmark does not have a Vista driver for the X63.

However, many people with Lexmarks (and other non-Vista supported models) have had success using Windows 2000 drivers on computers with Vista installed.

If you have Windows XP installed, or if you have Vista and want to try the Windows 2000 driver, they can both be downloaded here, directly from Lexmark:

http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?lxkprod=Lexmark+X63

Be sure to UNPLUG the printer from the PC before installing the software. ONLY plug it in once the on-screen instructions tell you to do so.
