There are two possibilities your phone shown emergency call only 1.You mobile phone receives weak signal from near tower so try to Swich off your mobile, wait few seconds and switch on.
2.Your mobile is locked to particular network provider.

Cant make calls emergency calls only

Hi there,
Well first of all you may try to contact your service provider for this issue by using some other phone. Most of the time the problem is due to the network coverage. Post comments if further you have the same issue.
Good Luck

Hi i have a samsung SCH-W339 mobile the problem is i have inserted many sim cards but it displays limited service instead of displaying the sim name and i cant make outgoing calls neither i recieve...

In my area that usually means that your phone service has been cut off. They provide only emergency calls as a free service.Sounds like you need to get in contact with your provider and find out why your phone seems to be cut off.

I have a tmobile SGH-E335 from Samsung. When i try to make a call the screen says "emergency calls only" any help?

Hi,when a phone Displays "emergency calls only",it means that phone is experiencing a network problem and you can make calls. might also be from the Sim network too.You can see if your friend that uses the same network with you, if his line has network on his phone.

After you have confirm from your friends phone if it has network, if it does, that means that phone board has problem.

You will need contact a skillful personnel for help.

Take care.

My iphone is locked i can only make emergency calls please help

Have you purchased from new? Was it a second hand unit or passed down?
If a phone has been reported to a uk network as lost or stolen it will be placed on a barring list that is used by all uk networks!
If this is the case it will only allow emergency calls only as the network your using is barring it.
If you call your network they have access to the shared data base and can check within a few minutes for you. You will need the IMEI number from the iphone which you can find on the SIM tray in small print, or if you can access the phones number pad dial *#06# this will display the phones IMEI on the screen (this should work on any mobile phone).

Another solution maybe that your SIM card has been disconnected? Have you tried your SIM in another phone to check?
Hope that helps?

I have a w850i and the sceen shows emergency calls

1. It's a common problem with Sony Ericsson W850 phone!

2. It displays the 'Emergency Calls Only' message even the network is available. (Mainly due to the change in the frequency of the signals!)

3. You should try to update the phone OS/Firmware.

4. If it don't helps try to reinstall the OS software!

please rate this advice if it helps...tc! :)

I just got a new phone and activated it at us cellular and now my incoming picture text messages fail and say network authentication failled but i called and i do have unlimited text messaging and free...

Alot of the newly activated phones require that you wait 24 hours before you can call. If you try and make calls and it doesn't work, this could be why. The same applies for text messaging.

Good Luck!
