I take it you mean the the lens cover? If you can get a vacuum nozzle in one hand and gentle offer the camera to it to see if it sucks anything out. Don't use an air blast that could push any muck further in

How to fix camera nikon f3 shut sticky

First, I'm not a Nikon tech.
* Wow, old school. I had 3 nikkormats even the 1/2 frame one. Well I still got them but I use my phablet now.
* Sticky shutter usually means the camera needs cleaning and probably a spring replacement. The shutter is exposed every time the lens is taken off or the back is opened.
* Lots of stuff and dirt gets into the body. I've tried cleaning fluids but that's not a good idea if your using the wrong fluid or spray it in the wrong place.
* Here is a Forum that may address the issue;
* You should take it to a camera shop (older one) to have it checked, cleaned, and lubricated.

My Nikon L35 AF's shutter button won't pop back up when I press it down.

Hi Broderick,
You have some (dirt/ dust/ sand) clogged around the clearance between the shutter button and the camera body. If you are a DIY type of person, you can check and clean that dirt, other wise take it to a repair shop for proper cleaning.

My Nikon D3200 says shutter error can I fix this issue myself?

did you charge your battery full ? if the battery is not charged enough, it will not drive the shutter opener motor perfectly, and if any type of dirt or friction on the shutter drive gears this will happen, please check the shutter movement by removing the lens.

Why won't the shutter on my Nikon coolpix won't open?

hi do you mean the shutter? or the lens cover in front of the lens? if you mean the two leaves that separate when the lens comes out it is probably a lens issue or a spring not working correctly in the front cap.

Nikon Coolpix 5900/4 GB Kingston SD Card

The 5900 uses SD cards. The 4GB card you have is actually an SDHC card and will not work in the 5900. You'll have to stay with cards 2GB and smaller.

Won't turn on. My Nikon Coolpix 5900 is 4 yr old. Battery is good. When I press the on/off button, the orange/red light on the front stays on permanently and the shutter fails to open.

This is caused by the camera not charging the flash capacitor inside thus it will not power the rest of the camera. You going to need to take it in to a local shop and have them look at it. This is something a end users cannot just open up and do.

Thanks and please do leave a postive rating and feedback

Nikon fm10 cannot get shuuter release button to depress or film advance lever to work. is there a lock on shutter release ?

The film lever is also a switch. If you had advanced the film lever, **** it outward a little. You will feel the detent click somewhat when doing so. Leave the lever outward and see if the shutter will work. The detent is for appling an closed circuit for the light meter. When the lever is fully pushed back in it shuts the power to the meter on off to conserve battery power

Same thing here on my D40. Was on a camerastand (tripod) and fell (toppled over). Everything seems normal apart from the error mentioned above. Can't take pics neither (black), and shutter error....

I can help you understand what is going on with your problem, but it is a problem you should not try and fix yourself. When your camera hit the dirt, it probably broke the shutter mechanism.
The symptom you mentioned with the black pictures means that the shutter (allows light to the medium) is not moving.

When you take a picture, the shutter moves very fast. It is what regulates how long light hits the medium (regular cameras, it's film, in digital cameras, it's the ccd.)

Bottom line, your going to have to take it to an authorized repair shop for the make of your camera. Probably be around $200. to repair. Sorry for the bad news. Let me know what you think in a comment if you want, and thanks for coming to FixYa. Feel free to rate my answer.
