Question about Mitsubishi VS-45603 45" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

No picture or sound on Mitsubishi VS-45603

HELP!! When I turned my tv off one night, it was working fine. When I tried to turn it on the following day, I got nothing...no picture, no sound. The green light on the front does light up though. I have been told it could be the bulb(s - ??), a power converter or a leaking D980. What are your thoughts and what kind of prices am I looking at for repair?

You may want to inspect it for a fluid leak. Look on the signal pcb first. look for any signs of liquid on the connectors. If the leak is found and has been there for awhile before it finally shorted out a connector then chances are that it corroded the pcb

look from the front of the set, remove the speaker grill and you will see a kick panel, remove it and inspect the circuit board to the right of you. It should be green. Inspect it for black spots, or gooey residue.

After big storm the tv only shows small picture in upper right corner. Will not allow to go to full screen. VS-45603

You are in pip mode, and if itwill not let show on regular mode, then your tuner is out,and youcan bypass it and go directly into the video input with RCA cables from your recieever, and put your set in video mode, better picture, and save you 500 dollars on a new tuner.
