You need to get composite cables, they are red white and yellow, look at the back of the DVD player, you will see a sed yellow and white plug, put them in the correct colors, then look at the back of the tv, you will see the same kind of plugs, put the other end of the cables in there correct colors on the tv, also make a note of what inpit it is, it will say - video 1, or 2, you then need to get the tv remote, and change the input untill you see the one that you pluged the cables into on the tv

I have a JVC HD 52g787, the sound works but no picture, The tv comes on, but the blue light just blinks, then cuts off, I have sound no picture

The problem is usually from the power or the Y sustain at the left or right side of the display when one of the large capacitor or heat sync on the capacitor even the flat power cable connection it to a main power board needs to be checked too, if the fuses on the board are blown it will need to be replaced

But after replacingthe fuses and the capacitors and still no solution, youwill need to replace the all board ..

You can also trouble shoot first before going to the board of the TV..

How to Troubleshoot an LCD With Sound But No Picture

It can be overwhelmingly frustrating when an electronic device as expensive as an LCD television set starts having problems. Luckily many of these problems are easily troubleshot. While being able to hear sound coming from your LCD television but seeing no picture may seem serious on the surface, fixing the problem involves checking a few different settings to make sure everything is set properly

Instructions

Check the video connection of any devices plugged into the LCD television. If you can hear sound but are seeing no picture while trying to use something like a DVD player or cable box, the problem is probably that a wire is loose somewhere. Check the yellow video cables running from the DVD player to the TV and make sure everything is plugged in firmly and where it should be. Also check the coaxial cable running from the cable box (or cable outlet) to the television and make sure that wire is also screwed in securely.

Check the image settings on your television and make sure everything is set properly. Certain settings like "Picture" or "Brightness," if set to one extreme, can make the picture appear completely black. This could cause you to simply hear television shows but not be able to see them. Reset all picture settings on the TV to their original factory default settings to see if that fixes the problem.

Try another channel. If you're watching TV and not getting a picture, the first thing you should do is check a variety of random channels to make sure it is a problem with your TV and not with your television signal. If it is a problem with the television signal it is the fault of the TV station or cable service provider and there isn't anything you can do yourself to fix it.

Try the DVD on another DVD player. If you're trying to play a DVD and can't see any images, make sure the disc isn't defective. Try it on another DVD player or a computer DVD drive and make sure the disc works in the first place.

Hope it helped ..

It works but when a movie is played it suddenly says it has no signal or week signal. Ive tried plugging everything in all the way and nothing has worked. Please help i don't want to spend a lot of money...

How are you connecting the movie? Through a DVD player or what? Also what type of cable are you connecting the player to the tv with?
Have you tried changing cables, dvd players, and/or inputs to the tv?
I would appreciate it if you answer these questions so I can further help you figure out what is wrong.

Image is too large, being cut off on top and bottom

Televisions usually have zoom or format buttons on the remote controls that adjust picture size. From my own experience DVD players, cable boxes, and satellite receivers also have those buttons. You might be trying to change the size on your TV and it might not be working because it needs to be changed with one of the other remotes. I hope I have helped.

Im trying to set up my tv, it was given to me as a gift, my uncle was using it it works i can change the channels but when i try to work my dvd player with it, only the audio comes on the screen stays...

Hi,
Please few things...
1- Make sure audio and video wires are hooked correctly in AV input of tv and you selected that AV input in tv with its remote.
2- Also check your dvd has not been set on progressive mode if you hook dvd player through yellow-red-white wires with tv.
3- if dvd player is set on progressive mode, then hook it with tv by component video input, red-green-blue for video and red-white for audio.
Hope this info will solve your problem.
Thanks.

I have been trying to hook my dvd player up to my WD-52528 mitsubishi, but i am having touble trying to figure it out so i can watch a movie, and i have misplaced my manuel.can anybody help me?

If you have an upconvert dvd player use a hdmi cable, it's the easiest. If not use component cables for video (red green and blue, labeled Y, pb, pr on the back of the tv) and standard left & right ( red and white) for audio.

Can't make it work

If the DVD doesn't recognise a DVD disc, then if can only be one of the following:
1. Not a compatible disc... Try a store bought disc.
2. Defective disc... same as above.
3. DVD player is defective and needs repaired or cleaned.

When a DVD player says "No Disc" it also means " Can't read Disc".

Hope that helps,
