Bosch dishwasher won't latch

My Bosch 2005 Integra dishwasher won't latch. It hits in the middle and the door teeters back and forth because it's hitting the latch. It ran the first time i turned it on with water and all no problems no leaks, could even open the door and it would still keep running. Almost like the dishwasher was reading that it was closed. Tried to run it again and the timer turns on but it doesn't run now almost like it reset but still won't close so now it won't run. I am wondering if it's a sensor or if it's the latch. My guess is the latch. I have ordered the part but wondering if there is something else that I should check.
