Bosch dishwasher won't latch

My Bosch 2005 Integra dishwasher won't latch. It hits in the middle and the door teeters back and forth because it's hitting the latch. It ran the first time i turned it on with water and all no problems no leaks, could even open the door and it would still keep running. Almost like the dishwasher was reading that it was closed. Tried to run it again and the timer turns on but it doesn't run now almost like it reset but still won't close so now it won't run. I am wondering if it's a sensor or if it's the latch. My guess is the latch. I have ordered the part but wondering if there is something else that I should check.

No you did good in ordering a latch ,that is a common issue i find with the bosch d/w, for no apparent reason the latch locks itself with the door open. Look at the door where the male part of the latch goes into the door, you will see that is locked. if you take it apart and manually unlock the latch u stand to break it. Again you did good on ordering the latch.

Suggest you read these instructions first which will do a hard reset.
We have a Bosch Lifestyle, New Zealand/Australia model.
The switch that locks into the front latch when you close the door had stuck ON so the switch would not release and close the door.

With the machine switched OFF on the front panel PRESS/HOLD the two buttons, at the same time, either side of the RESET button.

While holding these two buttons in PRESS and hold the ON switch. An error number will be displayed in the time display, in our case it was C7 (whatever that means).

Still holding the two buttons either side of the RESET button PRESS/HOLD the RESET button between them and hold.
This will RESET all cycles and unlock the switch.

Turn the machine OFF, shut the door, then proceed as you normally would.

I suspect this will work with all Bosch models.
It is a pity Bosch do not publish or are able to explain this simple remedy.

Our DLX series dishwasher leaves dishes and glasses diffusely cloudy. Not spots and not streaks. A repairman found some blockage in the drain hoses and thinks he cleared the obstruction. We have tried...

The problem is hard water. Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com. They have a new product out that solves this problem once and for all. It filters the water entering your dishwasher and removes the hard minerals that cause these spots. Very affordable and guaranteed to leave your dishes looking amazing every time.

Bosch dke 935 90cm hood. light and extractor not working

The fuse will be located in the switch or socket that the hood is connected to. This is sometimes inside the flue on the back wall. There should be two small screws either side of the chimney located at the top, unscrew and slide one part of the chimney down, please be careful as stainless steel has very sharp edges.

Dishwasher wont fill

Make sure the dishwasher is not stuck in some kind of error mode. Make sure the water valve is turned on. Take the bottom front service door off and locate the water valve on the front left bottom of the machine. Make sure there are wires connected to it. If it's still not working, pick up a cheap electrical multimeter. Set it to the resistance setting, and remove the wires from the water valve. Test the resistance across the water valve's terminals. If the resistance is very high, or infinity, the water valve needs to be replaced. If the water valve is ok, turn the dishwasher on and test the voltage across the wires that go to the water valve at a time in the cycle when you know the dishwasher's controller will be trying to let water in. It may be either ac or dc voltage, so try both settings on the meter if you don't get a reading. If no voltage is read across those wires, open up the dishwasher and find the circuit board that the water valve's wires connect to, and make sure they're connected to the board properly. If that still doesn't work, there's a problem with the dishwasher's control board. Look for a square or rectangular blue, gray, black, white box on the circuit board near where the wire plugs in. This is the mechanical switch that turns on the power to the water valve when the computer sends a signal that it wants water. This switch may be jammed up. Try tapping it firmly with screwdriver. If that doesn't work, you can desolder the power switch and solder on a new one. If that doesn't work, you'll need to replace the board or do some advanced work on it.

Bosch dishwasher model SMU4052UC/14, Won't fill

you need to check the water solenoid valve. if you follow the water line coming into the dishwasher you will find the valve(first spot in the water line with two wires coming from it) if you pull the wires off you should see 110 v when it is trying to fill with water if you do then test the valve for continuity.

Hood does not pop up when depressing the push button

The filter elements are mostly likely not correctly in place so the latch is not tripping the micro-switch. Using a flash light this was clear by looking down into the front edge of the vent unit. I could see the element edge and the latch of the filter element. It wasn't latched tight. I used a paint scraper (two). Gently i nserted it while also using a flash light to see. I was able to lever and jiggle the filter element back into place and latch it. This activates the control. Then the unit would raise. I double checked the filter latches to be sure they were tightly closed.
