How to setup Ashton Digital Airdash Wireless Adapter without manual.

I don't have the manual and can't find one to download online....Need your help to set or hook this up so I can have the desktop computer online without hooking it up to all the wires, etc. I have a laptop which is 802.11 and both the laptop and the desktop have Windows XP. I probably need to go somewhere online too, and download a driver for the setup. So what driver and where, what, and how from there? help? Please? Pegi*

Re: How to setup Ashton Digital Airdash Wireless Adapter...

There is no support for the wireless adapters but if you click the link below for the driver, but you have to register free first to get it. When you download the driver, install it then connect the adapter to a free usb port and the hardware wil be recognised and the driver installed. Make sure in that all your computers have the same network name, either 'Workgroup' or 'Home' by clicking my computer icon, right click, then properties and look at computer name and if any are different you can change the name in here to be the same as every pc you wish to connect to the network. I presume you have a wireless router, so go into your routers settings and look for a DHCP section where you need this to be enabled to automatically assign ip addresses to each of your adapters. The adapters will find any wireless connections within it's area and show you in a pop up window, you then need to click on your home connection and enter the security code numbers if you have set up security on the connection, click connect and you should now be able to surf the net.

How can I install my linksys 2.4 ghz adapter without its disc?

Router setup is not a rocket science !
You can do it manually without the CD.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online through the modem.
If your computer is not able to go online through the modem then you will need to call ISP first.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem

It is possible that the card is failing. Think about anything that has changed in your network setup. Have you changed wireless routers, or changed any settings. Have you recently updated the drivers for this card. Do you use the wireless adapter at other access points or only a single one?  One thing you could try is to uninstall the device, then reinstall it. Also look for newer drivers if they are available.

After connecting to the usb, led lights up, then off, windows does not detect it.

Is the hub you mention, an extension from another usb port only, as the adapter may need to be powered and require a AC/DC powered hub to work.
