Check to make sure your PS3 is not in too hot or crowded a location first. The system requires a lot of ventilation.

If you're looking for repair options, you will want to contact Sony directly. I'm sure they'll be happy to help you out.

There are many reasons cause PS3 disc stuck and console won't turn on. Your PS3 hardware need some kind of fixes. Send back to Sony is expensive. You better repair by yourself. My playstation 3 won't start up. The green light turns yellow, beeps again and turns red when i push the power button. You can here the fans start up but then they quit when the status light turns yellow....

sounds like you fried the silicon heatsync paste. I think you were playing the system alot. in a area in which there was not much ventilation. if under warranty send back for repair. If not take to local repair center. dont try to fix it your self much complicated than Xbox 360

Hello. There are a few causes for this. I will list acouple solutions for you.

1. Reset the Video Output Settings. While the PLAYSTATION 3 system is in standby mode (red light on the front of the system), hold down the touch-sensitive On/Off button on the front of the system until the system goes into standby mode again . (So the light cycle would go from: red light to --> green light --> then back to red light) This will ensure that you have held down the On/Off button long enough to reset the Video Output Settings. Once you turn it back on, it should work fine.
2. Make sure the TV is on the correct seting. i.e. Video 1, Video 2, etc.

3. If option 1 does not work call Sony because the video out chip has blown or come unsoldered.

I hope this helps. Good luck to you.

PS3 doesn't appear on screen. Possible power issue.
