You will need to replace the "thermal fuse" located on the back of the dryer. Here is the part to order.

Check your complete venting system to make sure it is not clogged. Use a nylon scrubber to wipe down the 2 sensors as they can get coated with fabric softener, and clean your filter as it can get clogged too. To test it run it under water to see if the water goes through or pools. Use hot water and mild soap to clean it. I have heard some people put it in there dishwasher to clean it.

SOURCE: dryer runs, no heat Whirlpool duet 9250

Most likely, it is the thermostat which controls the heating element. The Bios Thermostat will have two wires connected to a round disc which has a flange and screw holes to hold it next to the blower vent or the center of the drum. Use an ohm meter to see if it open or take it to an appliance parts store to have them check it for you. You may also see a thermal fuse and a high temperature cut-off thermostat which should not read open with an ohm meter. Any open thermostat will prevent the heater element from turning on. The part should be about $25.00.

SOURCE: I have a duet electric dryer. It isn't getting hot air

This video shows how to get into the machine. Your heater slides out and is easy to replace by removing the bottom panel. Looks like this:

My whirlpool duet electric dryer electrical systems and heat work fine, but drum won't turn and belt is in tact.

Check the motor capacitor, sometimes the capacitor could be faulty or the motor is faulty or check if the motor is receiving power,if it's receiving power try to replace the capacitor if the is any in the system,if still it's not working then the motor could be burnt.

Also check weather the timer is perfecty.

Whirlpool Duet Sport Model WFW8300SW0 basket won't

The following list of codes indicates an electronics communication problem with the washer: - Duet HT washer - F01, F03, F06, F11, F23, F24, F27, F28, F29, F30, F31, F32, F35, F42, F61, F62, F63, F64, F65, F70, F71, and F99

If Pause/Cancel does not work:
  1. Unplug washer or disconnect power for one minute.
  2. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
  3. Re-select the cycle and press Start.
NOTE: If the error remains on the display, call for service.

I would first replace the door latch/lock assembly, a number of users have and it fixed the F-11 error code completely. Its the cheapest part for this problem.

Hope helps.

I am having the same problem. Dried towels last night. This morning, I loaded it, turned it on, it did not lock the door or start drying (spinning) but the timer started counting down. I pressed Cancel twice, unplugged it for a few minutes then tried again. Problem still exists. Any suggestions?

Duet Sport Dryer drum will not turn

Most likely thermal fuse is bad, but also could be door switch or a control problem.
