Ok i posted a question in regard to a black box appearing on my screen. Ive been through the subtitle section its off i cant for the life of me find the section for cc. I looked in menu but no luck

Closed captioning (CC) usually is enabled/disabled as part of the initial set up routine. Once enabled, CC text is displayed whenever normal TV audio is turned off, e.g., by pressing the MUTE button on the remote.

No remote and need to turn off cc

Buy a cheap universal remote control. I don't see a menu button in the drawing on the tv manual.

I cant get cc on my tv after i hook it up to cable box .but if i turn off hdmi and go back to tv on menu i get cc.

Try turning on the closed captioning feature on the cable box instead of the television this may solve the issue altogether. If you need assistance in doing so please give me the model of the cable box.
Thank you,
Lee

The CC turned on by itself and now I cant turn it off. The CC says that it's off but the words still show up on the tv. I tried to reset the tv's settings and it didnt work.

I don't know the specifics, but do you have your tv hooked up to a cable box or something like a DVD player that might have the sub titles turned on. There might be more places to look other than your tv.

Have a KDL-52BR4, cant get rid of closed caption on the screen even after pushing cc button on remote

If you are using a Cable Box, make sure that CC is off. Same applies to a satellite receiver. If you don't have either of those then I would contact your service center to have it looked at. The micro is the only thing that can cause that, providing your sure about how to turn the closed caption off in the menu. Try that way first, instead of using the CC on the remote.

CC is usually turned off by selecting an inactive choice,i.e.
