Question about Canon Pixma iP6600D InkJet Photo Printer
Is it possible to refill Lexmark cartridges 36 and 37 for the x4650?
i've read all the posts and none seem definitive about whether there is or is not a chip in these cartridges.
i've refilled, but the ink level still says 0%.
is it possible to overcome/disable the ink level for this machine?
if anyone has had any success, pls let me know... otherwise i'm going out to buy a new printer (not going to waste gazillions on print cartridges!)
Apparently you are out luck, just as I am. The 36a and 37a are refillable, however. We will see. I am about to install them.

All printer mfgrs main business is selling ink and toner.
They couldn't care less about the printer itself.

The 100/100XL cartridges are not licensed to be refilled. You can, however, refill the 100A or 100XLA cartridges available on the Lexmark website at http://www.lexmark.com. You should be aware that a refilled cartridge will not be able to report its ink level, and you might not get the print quality you expect from ink that is specially formulated by Lexmark to pass through microscopic nozzles at extremely high temperatures.
