. I cant delete a corrupt song file on my omnia i900

This can happen with phones sometimes after prolonged use. Connect the phone to your computer using USB cable.Back up your files such as pictures music etc., that are on the memory card. Format the memory card. Hopefully this will resolve the issue.

It won't let me delete songs

  1. We Too had a hard time deleting a song but found the solution..... Put the mp3 play in the MSC mode through the settings do not put in auto.....when your computer prompts that the music player is connected it will have a screen that asks play music, open folder to veiw files..... or take no action... you neew to click on the open folder to veiw files..... when this screen loads find the song or songs that you want to delete right click and then delete it will only delete from the mp3 player.....took me two days of pissing with this mp3 player to figure it out......

My m25 doesn't load with a memory card (2Gb)

I think that the M25 only supports 1GB memory cards. (I've never tried a larger one in mine) Motorola's website only says up to 1GB.

Bad track error. songs arent deleting after reformatting and resetting multiple amounts of times.

There are 2 ways to format an mp3 player - if you were formatting the mp3 player from "My Computer," then try reformatting from Windows Media Player instead - I have a "tips and tricks" entry on How to Format an Mp3 Player for details

If that doesn't work, then double-click on My Computer, double-click on the Sansa player, and go to the various folders that it lists - music, voice, etc. Delete the songs ONLY - do not delete the dat, bat, ini, inf, or other system files

Removing music files

In order to delete the unwanted songs from your device, you must launch the Motorola Digital Music Center - it should have come with the installation CD, but is also available on Motorola's website at:
http://broadband.motorola.com/consumers/support/default.asp?SupportSection=DigitalAudio
under Motorola Music Manager

When the M25 is conected to the computer and the music manager is launched, you can view a list of all songs on the device by clicking on the icon of the M25 in the left-hand side of the window. You can highlight the songs you don't want by left-clicking the song and pressing delete on your keyboard. There will be a prompt warnign you that this will delete the selected songs permanently from the device.

Formatting the player memory

This process worked for my m25:
1. Download v1.11 firmware file from http://broadband.motorola.com/consumers/support/default.asp?supportSection=DigitalAudio
2. With USB cable disconnected, turn off the m25.
3. Press Power while holding Menu button until UPGRADE is shown.
4. Connect m25 via USB cable.
5. Run the firmware downloaded in step 1.
6. Disconnect the USB cable, and the m25 should start a normal.
