Question about Everex StepNote NC1500 Notebook
I power it up and the hard drive activity light just flashes 1 time and then it goes away and wont come back on and the screen is just dark. So i was wondering how to fix it and if i need a new hard drive or not?
This isnt reallu a solution but mine wont turn on i put the power cord in it and the fan started but thgen nothing happened and the batery chargin light is blinking constatly

That you don't see the Everex screen or the BIOS display when you press power may mean your Everex has entered hibernation (or standby) without you knowing it. It's supposed to wake up when you press the power button, but I've found that it may take more than one press, and for more than a second, to get it to wake up. Make sure you are connected to AC power when you press and hold the power button again (several times, if need be), to make sure it's not a discharged battery you are dealing with. Make sure the battery pack is properly seated and not loose.

Are there any other lights on or any other activity, or does it just die? If it only pops up with the hard drive light briefly then dies, your laptop might just be dying because the battery isn't holding a charge.
