Konica Minolta Z2 SDHC reading card

I have Dimage Z2 digital camera. Is it gonna be work with 4gb SDHC flash card??

  • BravoOrig Jan 23, 2009

I bought a 4GB SDHC, Kingston brand, and the camera says it cannot be used. I half expected it as the camera is not a newer model. There have been firmware updates to the camera, but not for this problem. Unfortunately Konica Minolta is no longer in the camera business and Sony handles all support for the cameras now. I'm just going to save the card as I got it cheap from DealExtreme and use it on my next camera.

Spare yourself the trouble. I had researched it (I thought) and got one, and stuck it in. The screen read: "Unable to use," It continued to read this, even after I formatted the card, so I ended up giving it to my brother, who has a Kodak camera. Sorry!

Unable to user carde

What type and size of memory card are you trying to use? The Z2 works with MMC and SD cards, 2GB and smaller. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

Try formatting the card with the 'Format' function in the camera menu.

I have a Konica minolta with 512 MB memory. How much more memory of SDhc/SD card can it use as it is unable to use 4GB SDHC card. Thanks.

The Z1 uses SD cards, which top out at 2GB. SDHC cards do not work with this camera, as you've already found out.

I bought 4GB SD card for minolta dimage Z1, but error comes UNABLE TO USE CARD....I read in the fourms that this camera does not support 4GB cards... right?

Your camera came out in 2003, before SDHC cards were invented. Chances are, the 4G card you're trying to use is not an SD but an SDHC card and won't work in your camera.

I have inserted a new sdhc 4gb card in my Dimage x 50 and have reformated but keep getting Unable to usecard

The X50 works with MMC and SD cards. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You will need to use cards 2GB and smaller.

Minolta dimage s414 camera, error no card try to use a 4 gb flashcard and then it read unable to use card.

The S414 was designed to work with SD cards. Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC card. While it will fit into the slot, it will not work. You need to stay with SD cards, 2GB and smaller.
