Check the condensate pan clean out with vinegar water solution make sure you do not see any oil residue that would be a sign of a refrigerant leak let me know if you have further problems your manual should tell you how to get the cover off

Why would the fan motor be burning up on zonline air conditioner, model #AZ58H09DACM1. Only 3 months old.3 different ones in a year

From my past experience, if this is a wall zoneline, it may not be tilted back enough for the water to drain and it is shorting the motor out because of too much water being slung around in the unit while running.

Ammonia like smell when a/c is running

The smell you are getting isn't ammonia, it's CHLORINE GAS! Here's what's happening....When you do not use the RV for a while, the solids in the holding tank concentrate, and the amount of naturally produced ammonia increases. When you add chlorine bleach (sodium hypochlorite) to the holding tank, the chemical reaction of the two liberates chlorine gasses, which your air conditioner is spreading about the coach. My best advice would be to flush your holding tank as well as possible, and to always flush it thoroughly before putting it away for a few months. Also, make sure that your holding tank vent is open and operational. Your vent should not be too close to your A/C's fresh air intake (this should be checked, as it is the likely path that the gas is taking). Never run straight bleach into the tank without having yourself an escape plan. The reaction can cause the gas to be produced in a higher volume than the vent stack can accomidate, and liquids/gasses can come back up your drains violently under extreme conditions. I don't want to scare you, but ammonia and bleach just don't mix. Ventilate your area as thoroughly as possible whenever you have to put straight bleach in the tank. Open windows and doors, turn on exhaust fans. If you get any hints of chlorine gas, vacate the area. People have died from being overcome by the gasses, not just in RV's but in their homes as well.
Best wishes and regards, --W/D--

Fan in our Sharp "Comfort Touch thru-wall a/c stopped

Unless the Unit can be cleaned ( you claim it cools?) but not enough. The age of the Unit is not in you Question, the amount of time you got for 100 bucks is pretty good being you purchased a USED UNIT. With the type of use you claim Running 24/7 and about 5 months of cooling - I'd say you never cleaned the Unit from day one - that might cost you about 100 bucks if the unit can be done in the yard by a serviceman. Chemicals can hurt the Unit if not done properly ( and yourself). It sounds to me like you use it for a Business - if so you can purchase one and write it off .

AC not cooling during the day

Your AC cooling efficiency is low when he ambient temperature is high and naturally it cools well when the outside temperature drops.

Please remove the filter on the grill and try to clean it under the tap water and after removing all the dust fix it back to the unit. This would increase the cooling efficiency of the unit.

Your AC is also five years old. Please avoid frequent opening of doors or windows.

Ensure that the exhaust fan and the blower of your unit are functioning normal.

The technician might not have done a proper job in fixing the area where the refrigerant would have leaked out. Please check the refrigerant pressure to ensure that no further refrigerant leak has taken place. Or even servicing your unit he would have punchered the tubes resulting in very slow leak of refrigerant resulting in no cooling or less cooling. It takes around a month to feel the pinch of it and the refrigerant. One fine morning after sometime the unit will run and it would start throwing hot air instead of cool breeze!

3 ton goodman heat pump package unit, odor coming from vents

I ran upon this a few years agoafter 20+ years in the industry it is actually called "DIRTY SOCK". In the winter the drain pan and trap dry out and all the junk left behind when the summer rolls around mix with the condensateand cause the odor. "Home owner fix" pour a cup of bleach down the drain and in the pan let sit for about an hour then pour a gallon of hot water, that usually takes care of it.
