    Hi Greta,,
    What model peavey is it?
Does it have a fuse in the rear of the amp somewhere?
Is the power cord permanently attached or does it unplug from the amp?
    Thanks

2 Channel Peavey CS-800 Amp (800 Watts) ... Peavey CS-800x 800 Watt PA Stereo power Amplifier. The Part in question Q4025P is an alternistor. Two SCRs back to back that may have shorted out if it is not working.

Wish to run sm450v2 Mackie powered speakers thru a Peavey XR8600

The Peavey XR8600 is NOT just an amp, but a powered mixer.

To SAFELY use this with your powered speakers, connect those speakers to the MAIN and MONITOR outputs on the front of the unit with 1/4 inch INSTRUMENT rated cables (NOT speaker cables).

To safely leave the power amps in the XR8600 with no output loads, plug GROUNDING plugs into the POWER AMP 1 and 2 input jacks on the front. This will prevent the power amps in the XR8600 from running with no load which COULD damage them.

Make the grounding plugs from 1/4 inch mono plugs by jumpering the centr aand sleeve terminals of the plug.

Peavey 2600 Low input = Complete Cutout

I'm not quite sure of how the two amps are interacting here, so I'd like to request that you describe the entire hookup. Sending a higher signal from the mixer should not be a problem, but something is wrong in the setup (I think). Please update this with a description of how you have the mixer and amps connected to the speakers. Thanks, Dan
