Question about GPS

My GPS sometimes dosen't receive the sitelite signal. It remais on surch indefinitely.

There simply may not be enough over head you wont always get a signal that is not an uncomman problem it happens to almost all

How to get back gps signal


Sometimes you drive into an area that has no tower close enough to transmit signal. Try to get to an area that you know you received your gps signal previously and see if your signal returns.

No GPS signal on TomTom


Did you make a reset? that could be a trouble with the signal then like the mobile sometimes by retreiving the battery if you have it during a minute and put it on again my brings the solution (pragmatic).

No gps signal even when you reset the machine


if you are situated in a room nor trying to use this on a cloudy wheather chances are you will have this problem, gps sometimes may take a while to received signal from the satellite, try going to a different direction say in a much open space with clear and no obstruction. and see
in some instance you may need to reset it again

A: Recently it has come to our attention that there has been a problem with a US GPS satellite, in the early morning of June 14 launch a sudden change in the code signal, leading to some GPS signal anomalies. It is told that the satellite signal should be running properly by June 22, 2009.

Garmin Nuvi 205 Problems aquiring stellite


usually gps are automatically sensing the signal, with clear view without and sometime even with minimal obstruction like trees windows etc. there is no other way your gps could not acquire signal unles it is having a problem .

all gps thesedays have 10-20 meter accuracy, it is only a receiver, this model particularly have the highest signal.

in other words i suggest you reset your unit from the bottom and see if there is any improvement, replace the unit

i also have the same problem my gps loses the signal i left the unit on power for two days and still no signal please help.
