Question about Dell 922 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Dell 922 All-in one ink jet printer paper feed

When I try to print, it will not grab the paper. Instead it says there is no paper in the tray. Sometimes, if I take a single sheet and feed it manually as it is trying to print, it will grab it and print. I have looked inside and don't see anything blocking it and it seems to print just fine, it just won't actually grab the paper unless I push it down in there manually.

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this, is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud

Printer not catching paper

You may have to clean the pick up rollers with alcohol or put a new roller in your printer.

If you have a printer with a tray, make sure it is set correctly for the paper you have installed.

It will try to grab the paper a number of times and will usually give you a paper jam error after a number of tries.

I cant get the machine to grab the paper and it says its out of paper, yet its not out of paper.

Hi, the Ip3000 has 3 different feeding trays...
make sure that the printer is trying to "grab" the paper in the tray that you have chosen to use in the printer properties box...
when you give the print command can you see the rubber roller moving to grab the paper in the top feeder tray???
if the roller that feeds the printer is not moving you may have accidentally changed the settings to grab paper from the bottom tray...the one right under the door that opens to let printed pages out of the printer...
the 3rd feeder tray is the DVD/CD printing tray...
I suggest that you look at the printer Properties for remedial action...
hope this helps you with your problem...
cheers
haitchhcee
p.s.
suggest you place paper in the bottom tray before making adjustments to see if it is trying to grab the paper from there...

My printer won't take the paper - it makes noise but it is not grabbing the paper

The paper feed roller is commonly either dirty or has a sliver of paper inside. To clean it you should use denatured Alcohol with a lint free cloth. You have to remove all paper and the paper tray and may need to flip the machine to get access.

I have a Dell all in one 922 printer When I try

If your device is out of warranty, I'd suggest to clean the rollers again completely. What I mean is to remove the scanner lid and back cover, then clean all of the rubber rollers gently with alcohol and swabs.

Printer does not "grab" paper but can see parts turning

you have bad rollers. you can try to clean the roller with an alchohol wipe but I doubt it will help much. You need to have the roller replaced or get a new printer

Dell 922 All-In-One Printer will not print anything

The printer does not feed paper from the tray and then states that there is a paper jam. I have removed all paper and there isn't a paper jam. It will feed paper through the lower roller and straight into the printed paper tray, but will not feed a new sheet.
