Car idles fine, but sputters, bogs and dies if gas pedal is pressed.

new spark plugs this decade. (a tune up?0
the filter is part of all 60k tuneups. letting it clog wrecks good pumps.
my wild guess, its lack of fuel flow, do to old filter.
or low fuel pressure.
car is identical to a Corolla. so is not unique or rare as some Geo cars are.
the cam belt not changes, invites valve kissing piston tops. BOOM
end of engine. (costs more to fix then worth of car)
the word is bogging, my engine bogs
if if bogs WOT (wide open throttle) and dont catch up < ITS NOT THE TPS. ever.
tps bad causes short bogs, called hesitations.
The map sensor , is what measure air flow and the ECU matches fuel to this air flow.
my guess, is it does that, but fuel pressure is like 15PSI, bad.

My jag smells like as if it was flooding when i try to start it, when it does start it idles fine but as soon as I rev it up it bogs out, please help me as i really can`t afford to take it to a mechanic,...

Well first off what year and kind of Jag is it?That will make a difference on what might be the problem. If it is a carbureted model, it sounds like you either have a simple fuel line leak going to the carb so when your car sits fuel drips out and gives you the gas smell and then sucks air when you rev it up.If there is no line leak, sounds like your float in the carb is sticking open and simply flooding the carbs with gas, hence the smell and the bogging out at rpm.You would need a carb rebuild kit with float to fix that problem. That way you have gaskets and floats to fix your carb.

My 1990 jeep wrangler starts up and runns fine while ideling but as soon as you start excelerate it bogs down at about 2400 rpm,s and if you floor it it really starts to bogg its like it wont excelerate at...

Chk. E.G.R. valve make sure its got vacume and that its functioning, they do get carboned up and quit working that will make it bog down. Also if that is not an issue, i would chk. fuel pressure, just to make sure you got the right P.S. I. If none of that helps the only other thing i can think of is timming.

1976 Ford F150 Bogs down when accelerater is pressed.

if it has a converter on it.....it may be stopped up, but before you replace it have the fuel pump checked, as it may not be getting enough gas at higher rpms. It will start and idle fine, but starve out when you press the pedal. Have you changed the fuel filter? That will cause the same problem.....
