My blackberry does not receive calls and is only in SOS mode. I have 3/10 password possibilities even though I haven't made any attempt or failed to enter the password. Furthermore, the keyboard on the right does not type at all. However, if I type on the left (numbers) it acknowleges. Can you help? many thanks
Personally, if there is not much on the BB, entering the other 3 bad passwords with start a Master Reset on the unit, and that may fix your problem with the keyboard. If you have data on the phone you want to save, I would try syncing it first before doing the master reset.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

switch off your blackberry, remove the back cover and battery, and remove the sim card. Replace it after about one minute and it should not read SOS anymore. If it still reads SOS, insert your sim card into another cellphone to see if it also reads SOS in a different phone. If it does, you need to call the company you bought the sim card from. Eg; if it's an MTN sim card, call MTN; if it's Vodacom, call Vodacom etc.
