I would unplug the machine and start back up.

Besides that you can take a canned air can and blow around the area where the paper comes out. Esp around the back. This is either a dirty sensor or a sensor flag that is hanging up or out of position.

When i power on my printer, its blinking indicating there is paper jam and no paper are in the tray, its also blinking at the part. kindly advice on how to go about it

if a computer is trying to send a print job, a no paper situation will make the printer think the paper jammed when it tried to pick it up.
Put at least one piece of paper in the tray.
If a page comes out, determine what computer is generating it, and kill the print job at the computer.
Then turn the printer back on and see if the error is gone.

Easier test - disconnect everything but power from the printer. have at least 1 sheet of paper in the tray. Power it up. If everything is normal, you need to track down the machine on the network that's trying to send a print job.

Hello I am getting a paper jam error #241 "check paper tray 1 "

DEAR SIR,
Some print media, although they may conform to size and weight specifications, may not perform to your expectations. Print quality, jam rates, fuser life, and output stacking can be affected by the printing environment (temperature and humidity) and characteristics of the paper (structure, moisture content, smoothness or thickness);
Duplex printing is not supporteD
Using Auxiliary tray is recommended

HOPE THIS HELPS....

Thank you sir,take care

P2015dn paper stops in the through-output path with approx one-half to one inch of paper projecting. Jam indicator lights. Removing paper shows printing has completed over full length of paper.

please, gradually pull out the paper, off your printer and clear the scheduled print jobs through control pane-printers and faxes-select your printer to open then select all the jobs in it and cancel/delet, please before you on and start using make sure the papers in the feeder are aligned and fits the tray i mean set the tray according to the size of the paper, one minutes u can now on and start printing it will work 100% i use the same printer.

Using HP 1100d Office Inkjet printer. Can't get 'out of paper' light to turn off. I have added paper, pressed the reset button, but light stays on, and printer will not operate.

Please read over the following information and follow step by step.

Issue Either before or during a print job, the message ' Paper Jam ' appears on the product control panel display. The product does not output paper or complete the print job. Solution Follow these steps to resolve the issue. Step one: Remove any loose paper
  1. Remove any loose paper from the paper tray and output tray. CAUTION: Do not remove jammed paper at this stage.
  2. Press the Cancel/No button on the product control panel to clear the paper jam message.
  3. If the paper jam message cleared, try the print job again.

  4. Gently pull the paper out of the rollers. CAUTION: If the paper tears when removing it from the rollers, check the rollers and wheels for torn pieces of paper that might remain inside the device. If any torn pieces of paper remain inside the device, then more paper jams are likely to occur.
Step three: Clean the rollers While the rear door is removed from the product and the power cord is disconnected, clean the paper rollers.
  1. Wipe the paper rollers with a lint-free cloth that is lightly moistened with distilled or bottled water. Rotate the rollers with your fingers to clean all the way around. Figure 2: Clean the paper rollers c00246512.jpg

  2. Lift the output tray.
  3. Pull out the front paper guide on the paper tray and slide the side paper guide as far to the left as it will go. Figure 3: Slide out paper guides c01489992.gif 1 - Front paper guide 2 - Side paper guide
  4. Load a stack of plain white paper, print-side down into the paper tray. Make sure the paper stack is no higher than the top of the front paper guide.

  8. Try the print job again.
  • If these steps resolved the issue , there is no need to continue troubleshooting.
  • If the issue persists , continue to the next step.
Step five: Service the printer If you have completed all the steps listed above and are still experiencing a problem, service the product. Have a good day,

Ricoh AP3800C "Output tray full"

Check the little black piece of plastic that senses the printed page exiting the machine. Our sensor was stuck and I was getting the same message (an similar Ricoh product). When I gently reset the black piece to center, moving freely, printing worked again. I think the sensor got jammed up when we were trying to remove a bad paper misfeed.

Ricoh manuals very confusing on this error message. They refer to standard tray, tray one, etc. without being clear whether it's a paper feed tray or the so-called "standard OUTPUT tray." The output is not really a tray, it's just the depression where your sheet lands after printing. I wrenched on the paper feed trays and their settings for an hour before I figured out they meant OUTPUT.

Hp psc 1315 paper jam

Hi,

. Switch off the printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge inside the all-in-one printer to dissipate before putting your hands or any metal tools inside the chassis.

2.
Pin down the exact location of the jam. The 3 hot spots for a jam are before a sheet completely leaves the paper tray, anywhere between the feed tray and print carriage or between the print carriage and output tray.

3.
Take off the front paper tray if the sheet jammed while still in the front area of the printer. If here, you should be able to see most of the paper.

4.
Pull the sheet with both hands and steady pressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper, leaving a piece deeper inside the machine.

5.
Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed-tray area and print carriage. Carefully remove the jammed paper.

6.
Use the carriage access door to get at a jam further inside the printer. You may need to remove the print carriage to get to the jam.

7.
Replace all parts and return any access panels to their closed and locked positions. Plug your printer back in and flip the power switch.
