you need to check your routers firewall setting by accessing your router through the pc and make sure your plug and play settings are enabled. all can be found on the router setup page. the playstation only requires you to enter the WPSK or WPA wireless encryption key to log on so the problem is usually with the router....hope this helps.

Do you have encryption enabled on your router? If so you will need to enter the encryption key of the passphrase in the network setup of the xbox 360

Basically the PS3 wireless settings needs to be configures with the Netgear wireless router settings.
To test if the modem is connects to the Internet, connect a computer into the modem, if it works then the modem is configured correctly. If it doesn't work, then contact your ISP and get them to test your modem connection.
For details on how to configure the PS3 click on the WEB link :-

Power up the Netgear and press the pinhole RESET button on the back of the Netgear until all the LEDs flash, then release the RESET button.
The Netgear is now restored to the factory default settings.

Unfortunately, there is no way to recover a lost or forgotten password from a router or access point; you will need to reset the device to factory defaults. However, once the device is reset to factory defaults, you can use the default username ("admin") and password (either "password" or "1234" depending on your router) to reconfigure your router settings.
if there a small hole in the front or back of the router push a hair pin in to reset to factory settings
hope this helps
