Hi, try to use Ctrl Alt and delete keys at the same time . If you get the task manager simply go to new task and type explorer.exe and hit enter. that will restore your desktop. go here http://www.pcworld.com/article/183440/windows_black_screen_death.html or http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/f/start-windows-last-known-good-configuration.htm
try pressing ctrl-alt-delete and go into task manager then in the applications tab press new task and enter explorer. also have you tried entering in safe mode ?
Are you saying there are no icons on yourdesktop and the start menu is missing? If so try this: Click Ctrl+Alt+Del to get the task manager to come up. Press andHold each key (Ctrl+Alt) until you hit the Del key, then you can release them.
When the task manager opens up click the Processes tab. You can click theImage Name column to get them in alphabetical order. Look forexplore.exe, if you see it listed click it once to highlight it then click theEnd Process button at the bottom right portion of the task manager window.
Next click File at the very top portion of the task manager window on the leftand select the option New Task (Run). When the Create New Task window openstype: explorer.exe and press OK. Your items will start populating andappearing on the desktop.
Once you get blue screen, Press ALT +CTRL+DELETE Key and you will get windows task manager. There you need to go to FILE and select New Task (RUN ) and type explorer.exe and press . Now you can see the icons on desktop. If still you are not able to get icons you have to format or Repair the operating system
You need to hold alt, ctrl and delete, task manager will pop up. Then under the applications tab select new task. Now type in explorer.exe and then click ok. This should bring your laptop back to normal, tell me how it goes as I am here to help.
Don't worry when your friends laptop starts and if nothing is displayed then Press Ctrl Alt Del keys on your key board.Just see that you have pressed all the keys at same time or first press Ctrl then keep it pressed and with another finger press Alt and also keep it pressed and at last press Del key. You will find task manager opened on the screen .There you will find File option ,click on it and select New task from the drop down. Another dialog box will open type there explorer.exe and click OK. Your problem will be fixed then. Thanks, Have a great day
Press CTRL+ESC If your taskbar reappears, then
it was just accidentaly been resized and repositioned somewhere IF that doesnt work : press CTRL+ALT+DEL to run task
manager. On the File menu, select New Task
(Run). Type in "explorer" and press OK.
there is something that runs most of the interface between the user and the computer it is called explorer.exe to get the task manager open, you can try pressing CTRL+Shift+Delete another alternative is to do an OS reinstallation.
To get explorer.exe
1) press Ctrl+Alt+Delete; in unsuccessful try Ctrl+****+Delete
2) if task manager opens click on 'New Task..." (if task manager does not open, consider reinstalling your OS or simply don't go into standby/hibernate)
3) Once you get the New Task dialog box, type explorer.exe or C:/Windows/explorer.exe
