I inadvertently took a few pictures without a memory stick in the camera and it stored them on the camera's internal hard drive becauce I can scroll through them with the camera on. How do I pull them off of the camera and upload them to my computer given that there's no memory stick? When I insert a new memory stick, I don't see the pictures so I'm not sure if there's a way I can get them on to a stick using the camera itself.

Unlike most brands/ models of cameras, the Sony CyberShot (DSC) cameras feature internal memories, (not enough to hold sufficient data). If you took a few shots before inserting the memory card, the pictures are stored in the internal memory. You can transfer/ delete those pictures by the following steps.
1. switch off the camera,
2 open the battery/ SD card slot cover and remove the SD card.
3. close the cover and switch on
4. press the display/ preview button and your picture should be visible on the screen.
You can now do whatever you want with your picture.

Take out memory card, if any, from Sony DSC-S650 camera memory slot Go to Menu, Settings and Format memory This will delete all picture files in internal memory and refresh it for next few pictures. Internal memory is not big to store many pictures, use memory stick in camera to store many many pictures.
Set camera on playback mode, you will see any saved picture in internal memory. Insert memory card and lcd screen will show you either blue screen if memory card has no picture files or will show you picture in memory card. That means memory card is intact with camera and ready to store fresh picture. Set camera to camera mode and take few fresh pictures and check them in playback mode. Let me know if you have additional question. Thanks.
Yes, you need to have memory stick because camera has limited internal memory that can store few pictures only. Put new memory card, format it through camera Menu and copy internal memory pictures to memory stick, take our memory card from camera and delete internal memory pictures either one by one or format internal memory through camera Menu. Thanks.
Insert memory card in camera, go to camera menu, there is option Copy, select copy and transfer images from internal memory to memory stick.
2nd option is connect camera to computer by usb link without memory stick, go to my computer then removable disk, then picture folder, copy pictures and paste them on My Pictures.
Need further help, let me know.
In the settings in the camera there should be a spot that you can change from internal memory to a memory card. Also you can remove the pictures off the camera from the internal memory by hooking your camera up to your computer via the USB cable that your camera came with.
