Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

Hp officejet d135 won't scan or print (except from computer)

Message always shows: Scanner failure. Turn power off then on again.

I've tried turning the power on and off, unplugging, re-setting, nothing works.

You it is necessary to make sure in correct joining the printer and computer. If you use the long cable USB change him(it) on short and advisable he must be thic. Change the driver of the scanner, this separate program and is fixed after driver of the printer. Advisable использывать checked cord of the join with the other printing device. Take the driver for your OS with site of the producer HP.If you is not got, apply to service. Good luck!

Go into Device Manager and double click on USB Print Support. In Driver tab, click uninstall. After uninstall, power reset the computer. Once computer turns back on, it should automatically start the re-installation process of the printer. Then you select let windows do automatic search for the proper driver.

Displays " Scanner Failure"

I've seen a similar issue on other HP All-In-Ones. I had to contact support, but all they do is make sure you try connecting the printer to the wall outlet instead of a surge supressor, then a different wall outlet, then reset to factory defaults. After that didn't work, they submitted an replacement order.

Hope this helps

The solution is at the HP website. see here

Solution five: Reset the product

Step one: Perform a partial reset
  1. Disconnect the power cord from the product.
  2. Press and hold # and 3 while reconnecting the power cord to the product, and then release both buttons.
  3. Try making a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the product control panel.
    • If the partial reset resolves the issue, you do not need to continue troubleshooting.
    • If the error message displays again, proceed to the next step to try a semi-full reset.
Step two: Perform a semi-full reset CAUTION: Performing a semi-full reset deletes any saved phone numbers on the product.
