I checked the trip switch and nothing has tripped

This cooker hood is only three yrs old and we have never had any problems before.

See if it is still plugged in or the wire going to the unit is stil intact. Has to have a plug or be switched. Since I am guessing that it has both a light and a fan and neither are working,
I suspect  that voltage is not coming to the unit. The number one , by far, service call for all appliances? Not plugged in. If you can confirm voltage to the hood, where does it go next? switch?

The electric leading to the unit may have a loose connection or the house circuit breaker tripped out?

What is wrong with electrolux cooker hood when ive changed new bulbs, the extract works but lights don't.Did make a bang when old ones blew?

Good Afternoon friend, thanks for your post!
From what you have described your Electrolux hood is working properly but the lights are not coming on. I understand that you heard a bang when the old ones went out it could be possible that your receptacle is bad or wire has shorted. I would suggest having a technician out to properly diagnosis your hood. They have the appropriate tools and knowledge needed to pinpoint the reason your lights are not working properly. Good luck. -Matt

if both fan and light have quit working then you have an electrical supply problem. start with checking for thrown breakers in the breaker panel. if none are tripped then you have a broken wire or a wire no longer making a good connection. try twisting the wire nuts tighter were it wires in above it
