The error L6 has to do with the lazer unit. The lock signal[specified rpm signal] does not return within a certain time[about 20 seconds] from starting the polygon motor rotation. Unfortunately in my experience the lazer unit needs to be replaced. There is no quick fix to this error. (to my knowledge)
you are not mention the product number or model any have SC-322 is related to lazer diode unit (Lazer synchronization error) may be poor connection between LD unit and BICU bord or LD unit defective or BICU defective most of this cases we are facing LD unit defective. They extended the life of the image unit. They did not reduce the amount color in the print. Once they extended the life, the image unit will go until its copy qualilty will become completly destroyed. You will have to replace the image unit, sooner or later.
This model is discontinued and, according to HP, unsupported now. They do not have, nor will they have drivers/support for it. You can not even BUY a driver CD for them to send, as they don't offer one.
BUT.. if you go onto HP's Live Chat and tell them you need drivers, etc., they'll tell you the same.. but they should also offer you a 'great bargain' -- which would be to upgrade to a supported model (newer) that is a refurbished unit at a 'minimal cost' (which I don't know what the amount is- sorry).
Just make sure you have your SERIAL NUMBER from the unit available.
Then you can decide if it's worth it.. or ... second option would be to go out to a store and purchase a newer model.
Sorry... that's as good as it gets...there are no drivers posted anywhere for XP and this unit!
