Might be a stuck switch. Somewhere around the edge of door is a small pressure switch that pops out when door is open and gets pushed back in when door is closed. This can stick or even break.
Check the bulb shoe connectors aren't corroded both on bulb and in socket.
Switch off device first !! then get to bulb and scrape connections with screwdriver tip, very lightly. Switch off first !! (just saying it again).
Test the bulb too with a 9v battery. they may look fine but until you actually know ......
1.Your door of refrigerator is not properly close 2. Switch is not properly inserted properly 3. Current is not properly supply due to capacitor In first case hold the door for a mint and see if sounds stop then adjust the door. May be you need a screw Gage to tight it. May be switch become loose so install a new plug. In third scenario open the back side of refrigerator and check the capacitor with meter. Source: Refrigerators With Most Modern Gates
If the fuse blew immediately..then there is a hard short somewhere in the circuit...if you have an ohmmeter you will need to check the compressor, fan , and whatever type of controller for a short circuit
Blue flash sounds like an electrical short (spark) that blew a fuse or tripped a breaker.
Is the machine running? You need to unplug and check the switch that turns the light on and the lamp socket itself for frayed or broken wires befoe restting breaker or replacing fuse. Once your electrical problem is resolved you can reapply power
Many times a freezer and/or refrigeratordo not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many otherthings that can go wrong.
If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out thelast two tips.
If your refrigerator is running but warm, then...
Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to starttrouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then callinga repair person to do a simple thing for you...
No, the compressor does not have a manual reset switch on it.
The first thing to do would be to check the breaker or fuse box. Make sure everything is on. Then with a voltmeter, check the wall outlet to make sure you have power.
If you do have power and the refrigerator isn't turning on at all, you may have to have someone with electrical experience take a look at it.
no the problem is not the 10 gage wire , 10 gage is good for 30 amp circuits and you can always use it provided it is fused or breaker to accommodate the smallest wire in the circuit example , if a circuit contains 14,12,and 10 gage wire the fuse or breaker must be sized to accommodate the smallest wire which is the #14 which means it would be fused @15 amps but the circuit would work fine as long as you did not exceed the 15 amp rating on the circuit , you must have something wired improperly in the circuit re-check the wire connections
