-U can install with the Synaptic (System - administration - synaptic)
- or from the Aplication - Install/uninstall (the one on the bottom)
-with comands in a terminal : sudo apt-get install "program name"
- or by downloading .deb packages (the equivalent ofr an .exe in windows) and double clicking on it
