Turn on and it has a continuous beep

Most typewriters have a "power on system test" or POST routine. Beeping means that it fails the test. With the power off, try moving the carriage all the way to the left and turn it on. Some typewriters, if the carriage is not right over the left sensor, will fail the POST. Most typewriters will check things like, "Is there a ribbon installed?" "Does the Daisy Wheel home?" and will move the carriage left to right to make sure that the sensors recognize the left and right limits. There are other checks of course, but those are the ones that are easily fixable.

Turn off the typewriter, open the top-cover and inspect the area around the carrier for any damage or foreign objects.
2. Move the carrier towards the center of the machine.
a. When moving the carrier manually, it should be difficult to move, butit will move under steady pressure.
b. If the carrier moves freely, the drive mechanism may not be connectedproperly.
3. Remove the ribbon and inspect the cartridge for damage. Turn the colored knob on the left side of the cartridge to remove any slack from the ribbon.
4. Check the correction tape to insure that it has not become tangled ordamaged.
5. Close the top-cover and restore power to the machine.
If the problem persists, your machine may require service.

First try a little WD40 on the shaft thatb the carrier slides on and look for debris in the carrier movement area,

It keeps beeping when its on and wont work

Be sure you remove all packing materals. Check Printwheel, correction tape and ribbon installation. Be sure the carrier will move back and forth all the way.

Continuous beep at start up. Nothin works except cap lock light so codes or margins can't be changes.

Doesn't sound good. Be sure the upper cover is fully closed, check for debris in the carrier area, give the silver shaft that the carrier rides on a shot of WD40, be sure the ribbon and L/O are properly installed and the print wheel dosen't have broken spokes.

Carrier stays to the left

Look inside the machine and make sure nothing has fallen into it that may be blocking the carriage from reaching it's "home" position. Sometimes a lift off spool will fall off and do that.

Beeping sound when powering unit on

Have you simply pushed the carriage back to the middle? If it is like the ML100 (it looks the same) you can just push it over ...with the pwoer off. Then put in you new ribbon. And this time, when you turn it on, it is the new ribbon that hits a switch on the underside of the keyboard, located to the upper left. If you do not have a ribbon installed, it will travel all the way to the left, and beep, beep, beep, beep. ,,,, The switch is hit with the ribbon housing.

Beeping

It most likely beeping because it cannot make its resetting movement. That is,it cannot "find-out" where its left margin is. There may be something hindering the actual movement of the print carrier. Check inside the typewriter by lifting up the top cover and move the print unit by hand. It should be able to move from the left to right-hand side of the typewriter unhindered. The shaft that the print unit moves on should be clean and it may have gathered dust etc,so give it a wipe with a clean cloth (lint free) with a small drop of light oil on it.. Replace the top cover and switch on the machine

Beeps 6 times, lights blink

The prinwheel sensor is likely the issue.  Move the carrier to the right, on the left side of th carrier toward the rear of the machine there should be a small black "flag" sticking out of the carrier.  this should move freely in and out if it is not there or does not move the machine cannot detect the printwheel the sensor will need to be replaced.
You ca also check for debri down in the area where the printwheel sits.
