Question about HP OfficeJet 7410 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

During unjamming some paper, the "belt" in my HP 7410 broke. Can this be replaced?

Paper feeds on the 7410 are wheels that turn on a central bar, not belts... Are you referring to the mechanism that moves the ink cartridges back and forth? I have had some difficulty in getting repair support from HP, but I have found that many parts are interchangeable with similar models and many can be found in thrift shops or secondhand for cheap (under $20) that may have compatible sections. It may also be possible to improvise a solution depending on the part in question. Can you post a picture of the broken item?

Yes, there many complaints of the same thing, once that ribbon cable is torn, the only repair is a new carriage assembly, if you can find a new one it will cost more than a new printer.

HP Officejet 6310 All in One - small paper being faxed is jammed. How do I unjam the paper?

Lift the scanner lid, then lift the black part of the fax - pull up hard for it to lift. Unjam the paper either still on top or gently lift the inner section and retrieve your jammed paper. Then put everything back together and you're right to go again.

7410 HP MFC Shows no power.

If you mean that the power light isn't on, but the screen is stuck in boot-up mode, try this partial soltion; it's worked for nearly everone who's tried it. It's in reference to the officejet 7410 all-in-on, but I think it's worked for other machines. Unfortunantly, you lose your wireless capabilities, but at leat you're not left with a $500 paper weight:

HP 7410 Paper Feeds in Crooked

The paper size in the feeder and the paper size in your printing properties have to match.
I.e. if your printing format says "letter size" and in your feeder is legal or A4 paper you will get this error.

Please reply if this does not help.
