Question about Linksys CIT300 IP Wireless Phone

CIT300 - USB connection is not recognized on a Mac running WindXP

Running Windows XP in Fusion on a MAC OSX 10.3.5
After installing a LinkSys CIT300 into Windows XP, the USB connection is not recognized and hence there is no connection.
The CIT300 software appears to be running and checking different USB ports and going directly into the computer offers no solution. The problem does not appear to be in Fusion. It may require a Mac driver. Any ideas out there ?

You can check out Parallels or VMWare Fusion which will allow you to run Windows & OSX side-by-side.

Does any driver or software exist to use the RR-US430 Panasonic recorder directly with Macintosh through the usb cable?

Hi,
Hi,
It appears that the RR-US430 only has driver software that is designed to work under Windows Vista. There is no specific Mac software available on the Mac, are there any claims that the device will work directly connected to a Mac.
If you have an Intel Mac, and use Bootcamp, Parallels or VMWare Fusion, you could try installing Vista using one of those methods, then running the driver software from here to see if your RR-US-430 is recognized while running Vista on your Mac.
It's a longshot, but pretty much the only option you have if you really want to try using the recorder on a Mac.
Good Luck!

BOOT CAMP SEEMS TO BE UNSTABLE WITH MY APPLICATIONS

This is a not a Boot Camp - but a cheap way to get Fusion V.2 which is the best run-XP-and-OSX-both-at-one-time program.
1.  Do NOT use Parallels software b/c it is slow, clunky, and a memory hog - this is experience speaking :)
2.  get a USED copy of VMWare Fusion VERSION 1 (this is not the newest version - but hold on!) from ebay/Amazon whatever - but don't pay over 20.00 (I paid 17.95 shipping included)!
3.  Install the older (version 1)  VMWare Fusion and then go to the VMWare Fusion website to get a free download of Version 2.  They offered this free to all owners of version 1.
Now something to think about.  When I had VMWare Fusion 1 on my machine, it literally took 3 seconds to load Windows XP (and some people wonder why I have a Mac!).  Upon installing version 2, it takes 10 seconds - and I do not know why!
BTW - make sure this free update is still available http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/

This works b/c a lot of surplus V1's are being sold cheap.  It is s totally legit option b/c the company is offering to any legit owners of version 1.

Install for mac

http://webcam-osx.sourceforge.net/

macam is a driver for USB webcams on Mac OS X. It allows hundreds of USB webcams to be used by many Mac OS X video-aware applications. The aim is to support as many webcams as possible.

That should solve your problem.

If you purchase a program called Boot Camp, VMWare Fusion, or Parallels you can load both XP and OSX to run dually or separate.
