Question about Singer Sewing Machines
I was given a Singer Model 247 Sewing machine with no instruction manual. I can thread the bobbin, but I can't figure out how to load the bobbin and thread it so the needle picks up the thread. Can you help me with this ? Also, your site says user manuals are available for free download, but I couldn't figure out how to do that either.
Thanks,
Rico
I am a veteran seamstress and I may be able to help you. it sounds as though you just have the wrong needle in the machine or the needle is in backwards.. Machine needles are different lengths according to what machine it is. The needle could also be dull on the point. Try this and see if it helps. Also your local sew shop can help you no charge if you just go in and talk with them. The techs enjoy helping for the most part I have discovered.

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!
