Does it shut down, or shut off?
Shutting off can be a heat issue where it gets so hot it shuts off to protect itself. Check the processor fan to make sure it is spinning, clean out all the dust in the system. BE CAREFUL TO REMAIN GROUNDED SO YOU DON'T SHOCK THE COMPUTER WITH STATIC ELECTRICITY!
Shutting down could be a virus, an installation program in a loop, and whole number of issues that would be too long to go into here. If this is the case, call a professional.
Open the left panel of the computer case, try to unplug and clean the contacts of the wires connecting to the hard disk, both power and IDE. If this does'nt solve the problem, you must re install your operating system . Sorry but it always happen when you either accidentally turnoff your computer without doing the proper procedure, by means of shutting it down properly.. Have a nice day !!!
If you manage to download this file you will most certainly infect you PC with a Trojan Horse, Worm, or Spyware, these virusus remain on your computer copying valuable information and remembering keystrokes and send them back to the creator or host. It is therefore important that you forget about this attachment and somehow find it from a more reliable source. If it is from someone you know I have written a tip on some really good Free AntiVirus programs, (it can be found here: http://www.fixya.com/support/r6790239-virus_infection_best_free_anti_virus), that you can download and install, then run a full scan on the PC with the file. Once the PC is clean the files that are infected can be healed. The file can then be re-attached and sent virus free.
Hi, Your console should turn on when the eject button is pressed. Press the eject button on the front of your console. If the console turns on when you press the eject button but not when you press the power button, the console faceplate might not be attached properly. To make sure that the faceplate is attached correctly, you should remove it and reattach it.
Position your console horizontally, as you would position a DVD player.
Unplug the power cord and any other cables connected to the back of your console.
While holding your console firmly, curl your fingers inside the oval USB door on the front of the console.
Push the faceplate away from the console with your thumb until the faceplate comes off.
Note You will need to use some force to remove the faceplate. Once the faceplate is removed, look at the tabs on the back. If any of the tabs shown in red in the illustration below are broken, order a replacement faceplate by contacting Xbox Support. If none of the tabs are broken, re-attach your faceplate by pressing it firmly until it clicks into place.Try to turn on your console again. If removing and reattaching the faceplate did not solve the problem contact the xbox support. Thank you!

this might seem ridiculous but try heating up a needle that is no more then half the size of the nub and sticking it in the dead centre of the nub, once its cooled down cut off however much of the needle you have to and see if that works, an even more ghetto way of fixing it would be shoving a small straw over the nub to extend it.
