The menu keeps flicking through all of the input options - can I stop this? Also it gets stuck on one channel on the radio - how do I reset it?

Make and model of the car? It's rather simple. Many German and French cars have the permanent and the accessories power cables switched.Switch them back from the stereo's connector's cables.(The red to yellow and the yellow to red).First it would be a good idea to check that out with a voltmeter.

SOURCE: I want to install in my car a panasonic car stereo

Hello marlomeneses,

Wiring color codes are different for different makes and models. Go here and select your vehicle for the color code: www.modifiedlife.com

The best way is to purchase a vehicle specific wiring harness that plugs directly into your car wiring. Splice the wires from the harness that came with your new Panasonic to the vehicle specific harness and plug them in.

Here's an example of such a harness made by Scosche. This one fits 2002 and newer Chrysler/Jeep vehicles. There's a harness for most all vehicles. Local car audio shops, Best Buy, and even WalMart sell such harnesses.

Hope this helps.

Bought a panasonic radio model # CQ-4400U did not have a wire diagram with it

You can find a generic color code diagram for most/all aftermarket car stereos (including Panasonic) here:

http://www.siocommunications.co.uk/Wiring_files/audio_wiring.jpg

This picture should cover just about everything. If the picture has a wire that your stereo doesn't, just ignore it. Not all stereos have all color wires, and some stereos have colors or RCA jacks or plugs that aren't in the diagram. Those are usually connectors for amplifiers, CD changers, satellite radio, or something like that. The basics should all be included in this diagram though. Good luck!

Getting my mp3 player to work on panasonic cq-rx300n

Unless your USB port can read your phone, this will not work. The USB port is typically for USB memory sticks only. My Juke had the same issues, and I realized that the radio would need to be able to Run Windows Media Player 10 or better to work. Most radios don't have any Hard Drive memory, so unless yours does, you may need to find a different route.
