When I tried to install The Sims 2 on my pc while using
Windows Vista I had a problem. When the installation reached 1% a message
appeared saying: "A problem occured when trying to transfer the file
'F:/Support/es/Leeme.txt' from the media. Do you want to retry to copy the
file,or cancel the installation?" and the installation couldn't go on because
you had only 2 choices, retry or cancel. The problem actually is with the name
of the file. In the cd/dvd the file has the name 'Le
ã©me.txt' but in the installation the file has
the name 'Le
eme.txt'. What you really
have to do is:
1.Open 'My Computer'
2.Right-click on the cd/dvd
drive with the game in it and hit Open
3.Copy
all the files of the game
4.Go to desktop, right-click and hit
New<Folder.Rename the folder Disk 1
5.Paste the files of the game inside
the folder
6.Go to Support<es and rename the file 'Le
ã©me' into 'Le
eme'
7.Go to Support<sv and rename the
file 'l
ã¤smig' into 'l
asmig'
8.Remove the cd/dvd from the drive
9.Start the installation from Disk 1<AutoRun.exe
The installation
should now work properly until the end.
But when you try to run the game a
message will appear saying 'This
program has known compatibility issues'. Click
check for solutions online and then follow the link that appears. This link
provides you with a patch for the game!
Hope this information was helpful!
Enjoy!
